Here’s a special barbecue hamburger recipe:
Ingredients:
- 1 pound (450g) ground beef
- 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Hamburger buns
- Lettuce, tomato slices, onion slices (optional)
- Condiments of your choice (ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise, etc.)
Instructions:
Preparing:
- In a bowl, combine the ground beef, finely chopped onion, minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper. Mix well using your hands or a spoon, but avoid overmixing as it can make the burgers tough.
- Divide the mixture into equal portions and shape them into patties, slightly larger than the size of your hamburger buns. Make an indentation in the center of each patty with your thumb to prevent it from puffing up during cooking.
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
- Place the patties on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness. Avoid pressing down on the patties while cooking, as it can squeeze out the juices.
- While the patties are cooking, you can also lightly toast the hamburger buns on the grill if desired.
- Once the patties are cooked, remove them from the grill and let them rest for a couple of minutes.
Serving:
- Assemble your barbecue hamburger by placing a cooked patty on the bottom half of a hamburger bun. Add lettuce, tomato slices, onion slices, and any other desired toppings. Spread your choice of condiments on the top half of the bun.
- Place the top bun on the assembled burger and press gently to hold everything together.
- Serve the barbecue hamburger while it’s still warm.
