Ingredients:
- 1 cup of all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup of whole wheat flour
- 1/2 cup of water
- 1 tablespoon of oil
- 1/4 teaspoon of salt
- 1 cup of mixed vegetables (carrots, bell peppers, cabbage)
- 1/2 cup of boiled and mashed potatoes
- 1/2 teaspoon of cumin powder
- 1/2 teaspoon of garam masala
- 1/4 teaspoon of red chili powder
- 1/4 teaspoon of turmeric powder
- 1/2 teaspoon of chaat masala
- 1 tablespoon of oil
- Salt to taste
- Green chutney and tamarind chutney for serving
Recipe:
- In a mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, whole wheat flour, oil, salt, and water. Knead into a smooth dough. Cover and let it rest for 15 minutes.
- In a pan, heat oil and add the mixed vegetables. Sauté for a few minutes until they are slightly cooked.
- Add the mashed potatoes, cumin powder, garam masala, red chili powder, turmeric powder, and salt. Mix well and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
- Divide the dough into small balls and roll them into thin chapatis.
- Heat a tawa or griddle and cook the chapatis on both sides until golden brown spots appear.
- Place a chapati on a flat surface and spread some green chutney and tamarind chutney on it. Add a spoonful of the vegetable filling in the center.
- Sprinkle some chaat masala and roll the chapati tightly into a Frankie roll.
- Serve hot with more chutney on the side.
