Ingredients:
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 4 burger buns
- 4 slices of cheese
- Lettuce, tomato, onion (optional)
- Condiments of your choice (ketchup, mustard, mayo, etc.)
Instructions:
- In a bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix well.
- Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape them into patties.
- Preheat your grill or stovetop pan over medium heat.
- Place the burger patties on the grill or pan and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until desired doneness.
- If using cheese, place a slice on each patty during the last minute of cooking to allow it to melt.
- While the patties are cooking, lightly toast the burger buns.
- Once cooked, remove the patties from the heat and let them rest for a few minutes.
- Assemble your burgers by placing the patties on the bottom buns and adding lettuce, tomato, onion, and condiments of your choice.
- Top with the remaining bun halves and serve immediately.
