Ingredients:
- 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
- 1 onion, sliced
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 bell pepper, thinly sliced
- 2 carrots, julienned
- 1 zucchini, sliced
- 1 cup of broccoli florets
- 1 cup of snap peas, trimmed
- 1 cup of mushrooms, sliced
- 1 cup of bean sprouts
- 2 tablespoons of soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon of oyster sauce (optional)
- 1 teaspoon of sesame oil (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Cooked rice or noodles (optional, for serving)
Instructions:
- Firstly, heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
- Next, add the sliced onion and minced garlic to the pan. Stir-fry for about 2 minutes until the onion becomes translucent and the garlic is fragrant.
- Then, add the sliced bell pepper, julienned carrots, and zucchini to the pan. Stir-fry for another 2-3 minutes until the vegetables start to soften.
- After that, incorporate the broccoli florets, snap peas, mushrooms, and bean sprouts into the pan. Continue stir-frying for another 3-4 minutes until all the vegetables are tender-crisp.
- In a small bowl, mix together 2 tablespoons of soy sauce, 1 tablespoon of oyster sauce (if using), and 1 teaspoon of sesame oil (if using). Pour the sauce over the vegetables in the pan and toss everything together until well coated. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Cook for an additional minute or two, stirring constantly, to ensure the sauce is evenly distributed and the flavors meld together.
- Finally, remove the pan from heat and serve the vegetable stir-fry as is or over cooked rice or noodles.
